E Company ecocars are all electric neighborhood vehicles.  Traveling at up to 25mph on streets sign-posted 35mph or less, these battery electric vehicles reduce our reliance upon foreign fuels, are environmentally friendly and are paving the way for the future.  Electric vehicles, in general, cost about 1 cent per mile to operate and with fuel costs soaring near $4.00 per gallon, that's incentive enough.  E Company energizes the batteries in each of our electric vehicle fleet with energy derived wholly from alternative sources.  Energy in excess of the capacity of the photo-voltaic system, mounted on the platform canopy at the historic Depot building, will be provided through wind credits.
